Former Patriots quarterback Kevin O'Connell has been traded to the New York Jets.
O'Connell was waived by the Patriots last Monday and was claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions, who used the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft to select Matthew Stafford.

O'Connell doesn't know them.
Or maybe throwing to opposition CBs was the gameplan he got? Good fit for the Jets, then. Favre-like performances to come.

Depending on whether his legacy will match Favre's.
Beer is good! And stuff!

I can't imagine they got that much for him, anyway.

Nice move by Detroit though
Trying out a player for a week and getting something in return. Even if it’s only a 7th-rounder and a bag of groceries, that’s pretty cool and un-Millen.

Signing guys from free agency to flick them off for future draft picks
Sounds like something from Madden. Sign a guy, trade him for a pick. Sign another, trade for a pick. Slap a few picks together and rob the Raiders blind. Win!
