Welker joins Stallworth to help Haiti
Former Patriot receiver Donte' Stallworth has called the public to arms (or Tweets, as the case may be here) in an effort to help Haiti.
He declared earlier today that for every new person to follow him on Twitter (click here to join in) by midnight, he'd donate a dollar to the relief effort. Within about an hour, he had 19,104 new followers.
Then, later in the afternoon, he brought this to the table ... That Wes Welker, his old Patriot teammate, has agreed to match Stallworth's donation.
This is obviously a great cause, and a wonderful gesture by both Stallworth and Welker. So hop on board, if you have a minute, and help chip in.

Hey
Stallworth is helping people instead of killing them. See? Prison works.
If Mini Anden and Percy Harvin had a kid, and that kid grew up to play Syracuse basketball….ragnarok.
too bad he left NE

Nice change for those guys and gals.
I have a friend who’s former 82nd. I know he feels as you do.
As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead

It might be my first active Twitter use since I joined. 120 just isn’t enough space.

How about we trade our highest 2nd round pick for stallworth.
The Browns probably do not want a locker room disruption, and the Patriots had pretty good success with this guy?
A fairly high secound-round pick?
That’s a lot of value. Given his age, off-field issues, questionable value as a deep threat in a team with no QBs (haha, Mangini), I don’t think his market-value will be anywhere near that high. In which case, he might be worth trading for, depending on his physical condition, because he might actually come surprisingly cheaply. Remember, Randy Moss went for a fourth-rounder. Stallworth might be worth less.

Hmm, he might trade something for Josh Cribbs
Cribbs wants out, Belichick says good things about Cribbs, and the Pats need a PR with Welker and Tate injured and Edelman taking a bigger role…

Mangini would eat them
How do you think he got himself on ‘the Sopranos’? No casting director would want a casting couch with him; it was a ‘Fear Factor’-style audition for Mangini. Eww.
