Wes Welker's Surgery Set
Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker has scheduled surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left knee and will undergo the operation Tuesday at Massachusetts General Hospital, according to an NFL source.
Depending on his recovery, Welker could miss 6-12 months. He will likely not be ready to play by the start of next season, though it is possible, according to some doctors.

Here's hoping...
for a successful surgery with no complications and a SPEEDY recovery. Hope Wes is back to 110% sooner rather than later!

He won't be 100% for the 2010 season no matter what
Even if he can play — and there’s every reason to hope for that — you don’t recover 100% from an ACL tear for at least a year. He might be 100% by the playoffs, though the chances of that are almost nil if he plays at all because of the hits he takes.
Still, Welker at 80% would be the best slot receiver in the league, and Edelman’s development will be accelerated by taking more snaps than he would have if Welker was 100%.
Anyway, though no one really knows anything until the surgeons see what his knee looks like from the inside, I would bet he starts the season on the PUP list just to be safe and comes back in week 7.
