Yo Vince Wilfork, STFU!
There are still 11 months left in 2010, and already we have a leader in the clubhouse for douche-bag of the year.

Different perspective, even if a bit harsh
Part of me roots big-time for Big Vince to get his payday and keep on doing his nose-tackle thing for the Patriots for years to come.
He’s been a difference maker from day 1, an upstanding citizen and good character guy who’s an all around loyal team player and one of those hundred percent-ers that if the team lost, it certainly wasn’t because he was slacking off.
That being said, it’s been a bit hard giving him too much sympathy when he appears to be generating an over-abundance of it by himself lately. Sidling up to the Florida media was taking it a bit too far for my liking.
The Colts players all had to swallow some big chunks of truth about how they really felt after their team president and head coach forced them to throw the Jets game and forfeit history, but they still managed to either keep quiet or squeak out the party line that they were "fine" with the decision.
In taking his plight to the airwaves, looking for empathy from the fans for how he’d be forced into accepting a one-year $7 million dollar contract, Wilfork might want to swallow a bit more and wallow a bit less from here on out.
Keep the faith!
His comments are significantly decreasing his chances of re-signing.
He’s committing cardinal sins, in BB’s book.
Maybe he wants to go elsewhere? He’s got to know that talking to the media is NEVER the way to get what you want from the Pats, unless what you want is a ticket out of town.
He played through his (long) rookie deal without holding out and demanding renegotiation
I’d imagine he’s got slightly more right to ask for a deal that’s worthy of a multiple-time Pro Bowl D tackle than a lot who do, and he waited for his contract to actually end before doing it.

eh... he started a tad early
and neither you nor I nor anyone on talk radio or in the press booth have the power to extend his contract or pay him what we personally think he deserves to keep him playing for the Patriots.
I guess it irked me just a bit when he was talking to the Florida media about playing down there when he already stated his case quite plainly the day before.
Keep the faith!
Hah, I know, it's not quite kosher to talk about playing in Florida
But I didn’t see how it actually happened. If it was in the middle of asking him to reminisce about his college days and then they dropped in a “how would you feel about playing here now?”, I could easily understand – it’s almost an ambush in order to get a soundbite out of him.
Put it this way – Adalius Thomas would’ve been paid $5m this year, and he was awful. Vince was worth two or three times as much as Adalius Thomas. Ugh.
