A Few Observations

  • Thanks Asante Samuel for the insight. You were passed by 119 times in the draft before you were chosen, tutored by the best and won two Super Bowl rings with the Patriots. Take your money and shut your mouth. Hopefully next time you are in the Super Bowl you won't drop that easy game clinching interception again.
  • Can Ocho Retard-O concentrate on being a wide receiver rather than a kicker at the Pro Bowl? The last time I saw him he was stranded on Revis Island. Way to back up that promise.
  • Is it just me or has Peyton Manning flip flopped supremacy with Tom Brady? It used to be that Peyton had all the stats and Tom had all the rings. One more ring for Peyton and there will be no more comparisons, he will be in a league of his own.
  • Thanks for the added drama from Scott Favre and ESPN. Next time we want to find out how hurt our modern day cowboy slash gunslinger, Wrangler jeans wearing, John Madden loves me hero has deemed us worthy of his return is feeling, let's ask his wife. I am sure Deanna can give us a blow by blow account of the bruises on Brett Favre's ass, so that we can segue way into next years (wink....wink) retirement speech.
  • You can almost guarantee that Bill Polian will have the Pro Bowl moved to after the Super Bowl if his team loses. He complained about the way the Patriots manhandled the Colts in the AFC championship years ago and got the rule changed. He screamed about the condition of Gillette Stadium's field that eventually was re-sodded. Cried about the overtime rules because they lost the game to the Chargers due to losing the coin toss and Peyton Manning never saw the ball. I can promise with certainty that if the Patriots were in the Super Bowl and had to have players at the Pro Bowl to disrupt their preparation you would not hear one word from Polian. I guess you have to remember that this is coming from a man who wanted Doug Flutie to break his leg.
  • Oh where have you gone Adam Vinatieri? It was not long ago that Patriot Nation was wondering what they would do now that Adam and the Patriots have parted ways. Not a bad 4th round draft pick by the Patriots grabbing Stephen Gostkowski!
  • It is safe to say that if Vince Wilfork is slapped the Franchise tag, he will follow suit of his ex-teammates Asante Samuel, Richard Seymour, Matt Cassel, and Adam Vinatieri.
