Brady Got Smoked All Season
The guys at Football Outsiders examine the "QB Hit/Pass Attempt" stat and we can find Tom Brady at #4 on the list. On the contrary, Peyton Manning is Second to Last (which is a good thing for Colts fans) and Brees is Sixth to Last.
Clearly we need to shore up our Offensive Line.

need a RT, kick Kazcur to RG, get a center late in the rounds.

We have a RT
Unless you’re planning on getting rid of Light, Vollmer is the RT we’d need to kick Kaczur inside.
i want to get a 2nd rd RT that will eventually take the RT spot (depending on how good he is) and move Vollemer to LT
and Light as a backup…or we could trade him to the Chiefs for a pick.

What about
Ohrenberger? I know the Patriots are very very high on him, I would think he’d get the first shot at taking over Neal’s RG position (assuming he retires). Should we draft another good tackle, either Light or Kazcur is going to end up being traded I bet.
it might be light. @ least w. Kazcur, he can play RT/LT though he sucks @ both and he can be kicked to RG
i like Rich. he did a good job…..i guess we have to wait till training camp to see who wins out on the RG and RT spot

I believe that Connolly will get the start over Ohrnberger...
…he did well when he stepped in.
Offensive Coordinator > Guard > Tackle > DE > OLB > RB > WR > CB
I'm stuck on how to rate Connolly vs. Ohrnberger.
He’s obviously highly rated as a Hochstein-type guy, as he was first choice backup at RG and also played FB. But when he dropped back into FB, Ohrnberger went to RG, which strikes me as odd. If Connolly is your best RG playing, it makes no sense to take him off RG into FB, especially since Ohrnberger can probably fill in as that big-FB role. The RG is supposed to open holes and the FB is supposed to punish whoever has the temerity to come through them, so presumably the RG is most important – yet Ohrnberger was given the role situationally. It might be that they’re considered almost interchangable at RG (slight edge to Connolly), but Connolly is the better FB.
That’s my read, anyway – slight edge to Connolly, probably due to experience and slightly bigger size (6’4", 313lb versus 6’2", 291lb). But Ohrnberger must be considered pretty close behind.

Well, Ohrnberger only played 6 snaps all season...
…so I don’t think it’d be fair to call them interchangeable. Perhaps calling Ohrnberger “serviceable” and Connolly “versatile” would be more fitting.

i dont see them starting @ RG
both are good backups as C and RG

There center backup is going to be interesting.
While I think Koppen is still good for a couple, that is mentally the toughest position to fill. The QB of the line, who calls out the coverages. Perhaps Connolly as guard for a couple then slides to center at the right time?

Although matthew.40 brought up an interesting point
Ray Lewis actually seemed to know the blocking coverage calls, not the play calls per se – which seems to suggest they don’t change it from game to game. Koppen’s not trusted enough for the line to change calls?

And Ray Lewis is one of the best
and has been around long enough. Players tend to give away clues too, subconsciously, and I’m sure by now, like Strahan, Lewis knows how to pick up and recognize them.
Keep the faith!
I thought it was more a case of timing the snap count than knowing the coverages
that Lewis seemed keyed on.
He got tremendous jumps at the line right at the snap, hitting the gaps before our blockers could move to pick him up. Several plays there was simply physically not enough time for our RB to get between Lewis and Brady with an effective block. The Ravens were starting their blitz from 2-3 strides deep and still hitting the line right on time.
I was screaming at the TV for Brady to change his cadence and go to a hard count or something, anything, to catch them offsides and slow them up. But that didn’t happen until midway through the third. By then – game was way out of hand.
Here:
1st- 1
2nd – 3
3rd – 0
4th – 1
5th – 0
6th – 1
7th – 2
