What really is there to say about last week that already hasn't been said? I think the best way to describe it is, Bill knew. We didn't and Bill did. He traded away LoMo, He knew. He traded away the most talented receiver in the NFL, he still knew. Looking back I believe that we are going to realize more and more that Bill knows his players and what there capable of.
All the players on this team have potential. Now there showing there strips, great ones like Spikes, Hernandez, Gronkowski and McCourtny. Potential turning into talent right before our eyes. The Pats have had a stretch of players that have potential, but it never really turned out to be talent on the field like Chad Jackson. The past 2 drafts are starting to pay dividends right now. WAY faster then I could even hope for.
That being said there is a possibility that this team is going to get better. I would just settle for more consistency on the defense. Speaking of potential, did any one notice that in the 2nd half Whilite took over for Chung covering the middle the Ravens offense just stalled. That is a perfect example of the correct half time adjustment.
This week coming up the Pats go left coasting. A stroll to SD while there best 3 receivers are either not playing or may not play; Vjak and M Floyd or have a injury will be out, A gates high sprained ankle may not play. SD defense is not too hot losing to St. Louis, Oakland, and Kansas City. Could be a cupcake, could be a trap game. SD 2-0 @home and 0-4 away. Prediction Rivers 400+ yards (mostly in garbage time) and a win for the good guys Pats 38-21 SD.
It is 12:56pm on this past Sunday afternoon. I am watching the FF program and there was a cut to the Razor. The man in the box said if your trying to figure out who to start in the WR3 position or a flex options Deion Branch may be it. I said you know what the heck. I put Deion in and let him do his magic. At halftime I though maybe I shouldn't have by the end of the game I knew it was the right move. The only issue I had is that I lost. 116-141. Miles Austin got called for a OP (the other P well it's not that simple). Lost a TD and 80+ yards~ of 18points. I will concede this season if the Pats keep playing this way. As much as I love winning FF, I love watching TFB raise the Lombardi more, by light years.
