Week 10 Game Ball: Tom Brady

Week 10 Game ball: Tom Brady.

When assigning this week's game ball, I certainly considered the likes of Rob Gronkowski, Pat Chung, and Tully Banta-Cain/Mike Wright, (with consideration going to the entire offensive line and the defensive scheme/Bill Belichick) ultimately, there's no question that this should go to Tom Brady.

Brady had one heck of a game yesterday, going 30/43 for 350 yards and three touchdowns.  While it was his statistically best game of the season, Brady's performance was more than just the stats in the box score.  Brady was emotional, and driven.  He was patient, accurate, and determined.  Before yesterday, I was skeptical of the Brady-MVP talk.  Now, he's got to be a front runner.

So what did you think of Brady's performance?

Gronkowski made some great catches, but some of the throws were even harder.

Gotta be Tom.

He also got the guys to focus again when they were playing sloppily. Captain Tom to the rescue.

I went O-Line given all the time Brady was gifted lastnight to pass the ball.

Brady did what we all knew he could’ve…..DESTROY the “STEEL CURTAIN”. This is the Brady i knew was there, and really missed since the recent offensive struggles. And boy did the entire team deliver. And i loved Mankins being all fired up and into the scuffle with Harrison/Polamalu. Welcome back!

Don't cut your locks Tom Terrific!

i thought the O-Line was magnificent, too

but so were the recieving units and so were the running backs and all three units were seemingly scorched on their butts to play better by one Thomas Brady.

Ignore the stats – I think this game was Brady’s best as a leader of this offense all season.

And also, did anyone notice that Cassel has the same figures as Manning in

tds/int? 16/4. With a better QB rating. WHOA!!

Don't cut your locks Tom Terrific!

Interesting stuff. I didn't think Cassel's stats would recover from those clunkers earlier in the season

Also, we should have a mechanism that takes away garbage time stat padding. If we could do that then I’m sure Carson Palmer would be in the 30s, not the 20s.

I was going to put O-Line

but I feel that Crumpler and Gronk were just as great in their blocking. Have to give it to Gronk for amazing blocking, plus 3 TD catches, PLUS doing all of it coming off his worst game ever and being a rookie right around where you hit the “rookie wall.”

by sc4rs on Nov 15, 2010 4:49 PM EST reply actions

The rebound by Gronk was the best thing for the Pats! MVP!

Brady had a GREAT game. He reminds me of Jordan against the Cavs in the 80’s. Thats why he’ll be the league MVP at the end of the year. Gronk, a rookie who threw 14 pts to the Browns the week before, comes back and has the game of his career pulling in 21 pts. Game MVP!! I’d also mention Chung, but I don’t really care. They all played and excellent game. Go Patriots!!!

The colts have been seriously handicapped by injuries

I think we have a good chance of winning if we keep Manning uncomfortable and the fact it’s a home game.

StampedeBlue's injury reporting record is patchy at best...

BBS said that Peyton Manning was bound for IR earlier this season.

It is Tom Brady 100%

he ahd those impressive numbers despite some sketchy drops by his receivers. Anyone else see Welker just drop the ball when he heard footsteps? Dude was on fire. THAT is the kind of passion that wins championships

You know, Brady played so well..

maybe we should pay him as well as McNabb

Just to say, WTF?! At least we know the bank’s gonna need to outright break to keep Manning now :P

Haha favorite post from Hog's haven on this

“What? Are we paying a guy $78 million to ‘not know the playbook’ or are we hoping to solve his “cardiovascular problems” by making him run to the bank?"

I'm giving this one to Woo-Sa himself

Everyone on the list is very deserving….but Pat Chung changed the game. Period. His impact on the field, I think, fired everyone on the defense up.

I don't think so. Homey don't play dat.

I voted for Brady

But it was like freakin’ night and day on defense. Chung makes our secondary exponentially better. His tackling abilities alone are a huge boost.

I love the way Chung & McCourty both wrap guys up.

You can’t always prevent the catch, but you damn well shouldn’t allow any YAC.

Young guys like that, who already know how to stick a guy in the ground, as the core of your defensive backfield for years to come? Priceless.

my favourite hockey team (the leafs) have been playing terribly, so seeing the Patriots have such a great game last night felt especially good. :D

this was the game that worried me the most oftheremaining schedule, i dont think a very banged up colts team is too much of a threart at home for the Pats. I thibk the issue withthe browns was they didnt take them serious enough, I don’tthink the Pats will make that mistake for any remaining gamesagain.
