Poll: Victory of the Week

This post is sponsored by Prilosec.

It's Tuesday which means that it's once again time to vote on the Prilosec Victory of the Week.  While the Patriots did come away with a big victory over the Vikings, 28-18, it wasn't the flashiest victory or the closest game, so I chose not to nominate them yet again (despite everything in my body telling me otherwise).  Therefore, you'll have to objective once again in your voting.  Although maybe not, because I doubt many of you will be voting for the Colts.

Poll
Which team had the Prilosec Victory of the Week?
Saints over Steelers
2911 votes
Packers over Jets
4242 votes
Chargers over Titans
639 votes
Bucs over Cardinals
830 votes
Colts over Texans
577 votes
Lions over Redskins
3878 votes

Pats over Vikings should have been a choice

The Colts over Texans wasn’t even a sweat-breaker.

Keep the faith!

agreed

that game was over when Kelvin Heyden returned that interception for a touchdown

Of course anyone beating the Jets gets my vote

Am i crazy for thinking the Lions could upset the Jets in Detroit?

Stafford is looking really good. And the D-Line looked stupendous Sunday gone.

I don’t know… I doubt that the Jets lose in back to back weeks… And while the Lions beat the Redskins, that was the Redskins, and Rex Grossman was involved, so I don’t take that much from the Lions winning.

If they do...

I could see them implode, because of that lack of leadership and, well, sanity. Which would be so awful to watch.

LaDanian Tomlinson is creeping towards the time of his yearly mental breakdown, Mark Sanchez is due 30 interceptions, Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes haven’t been arrested in a while, Bart Scott is showing the first sign of rabies…

Let’s not do what every so called expert did during the off-season and so far this year and overestimate them ok?

Oh they will.

Calvin Johnson will smoke cromartie and/or revis.

I’ll take 11 players with heart on the field over 11 guys with just talent. Talent is fleeting, it goes away over time. Heart is what drives you to be better. To push yourself beyond what you think your capabilities are. To show us that when you strive, all things are possible.- SMP

These players, a lot of other people didn't believe in them, but they believe in themselves. And that is all that matters."- Bill Belichick

Isn't it nice

to see (especially in the distant wake of that preseason game that prompted SMP to write that long piece) that our guys are turning out to be “11 players with heart?”

As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about. --Shaun of the Dead

Excellent. It's also the day you ranted. lol

Would like to find that post again. I went to search for it, but couldn’t find it. :(

And the best record in the nfl goes to……… the team with heart? The pats? Who would’ve thunk….

Calvin and Cromartie will be a nice matchup!

Is Best starting again at RB? Not certain if he’s healthy or not.

Well 1 thing is for sure

Calvin Johnson will make the Jets corners look like high school kids. That dude is a boss

The Lions aren't a gimme team anymore

neither are the Raiders, Browns or Bills. They actually make teams earn their wins.

Keep the faith!

I don't really have anything

but just wanted to reflect for a moment on how awesome this week is turning out to be on a football tip:

We won.
Pryor knocked Favre T.F. OUT
the guy we release had 1 catch, wept with regret for blasting his way out of Mos Isley, and got cut from his team in the aftermath of which we learn that he’s a real jackass to ordinary folks.
Our all-pro guard walks in the door (and the RBs are “jumping with joy”)
We have the best record in the league during a rebuilding year
Oh, and the Jests lost to Green Bay.

Am I missing anything?

you forgot that the Raiders won

which makes the Pats draft pick worse. You could have included that beating the Vikings improved that 3rd round pick they gave us for Moss. Also the Panthers lost, and the Pats have their pick in the 2nd round.
Pretty much the draft when 1 down and 2 up. Not a bad day for the Patriots

Most Impressive or most entertaining

The GB and NO wins were most impressive. But the TB win was the most entertaining :)
