"Bighorn" film: Vinatieri and quantum entanglement

(Note: I posted this also at Stampede Blue, since Vinatieri is currently a Colt, but the short film is about the Patriots years & SB 36)

There's a new short film (online!) used by its writer/director to show how an arbitrary decision in one life can have a big effect generations later. Link.

The example he uses is of Felix Vinatieri, Col Custer's bandmaster, not being at Little Bighorn, and thus surviving to sire the Vinatieri line that directly led to Adam Vinatieri Then they manage to tie-in SB XXXVI in a semi-factual, semi-fantasy short flick. (Resulting movie poster is hilarlious.)

Star-divide

Cooky, but interesting. Here's the news item about it, too. The writer/director says: "Adam's great-great-grandfather Felix Vinatieri and his 7th Cavalry Band were on their way to the Little Bighorn with Custer when, at the last minute, they were ordered to stay behind. If Felix had died there, Adam would not have been born. I thought that story was a poignant commentary about how tenuous life is, and that a path taken -- or not taken -- by a person can have an effect generations later. I combined this with the theory of quantum entanglement -- that there are alternate universes and what happens in one may affect what happens in another."

Hey, juperee!

Good to see you again!

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: The 3 months with both NFL games and NCAA basketball games on TV are easily the best 3 months of the year.

Thanks, Cass!

Good to be back. Actually, I read around here at least once a week.

The Pats are having a great year. What puzzles me about it is that hardly anyone is talking about it, but the record doesn’t lie!

Playoffs will be very interesting this year…

Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation.

Thanks for the tip!

I had wondered if the band would ever get together again after he Yoko’d out over there.

Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation.

Nero fiddling whilst Rome burns?

The band never broke up.

We just started playing in smaller nightclubs.

Not bad on a $5000 budget.

Hope there’s never an actual kicker named Chuckie Watkins out there…

Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation.

My fave part was Felix Vinatieri's disappointed reaction to being told to stay behind

…where he kicks the object (whatever it was) between the two pine trees. LOL!

Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation.
