New England Patriots Links 12/07/10 - Jets Talk Big Game, Patriots Play One

Bill Belichick addresses the media following the Patriots 45-3 blowout of the Jets.

Well that was a really great effort by our players tonight. I'm really proud of them. I thought that this was the best 60 minutes of football we've played all year. We had a good week of practice and everybody was really focused and we just got a lot of solid play from really everybody. It was a good night for us. We'll take it. The Jets are a good football team. I'm sure we haven't heard the last from them, but tonight was our night. I'm glad it could be on Tedy Bruschi night. I'm sure this is a game that Tedy is proud of and he was a part of many like this, so I think we got a little inspiration from him tonight.

Aaron Hernandez on how the win feels.

"It feels great. One of the biggest games, probably the biggest game I've ever played in, and it's just an honor to come out with this type of victory.

James Sanders on how preparation translated into success and whether he thinks defensive statistics matter.

"We used our time wisely. We prepared extremely well. Like coach said after the game, we had our best week of practice of the whole year. And we put it together for 60 minutes. It was the first time all season we put it together for 60 minutes. And like we said, each week we're getting closer, we're getting closer, we're getting closer, and I think we went out there and made a nice statement tonight."

"The only thing that matters about us is getting wins and getting takeaways. And we've been doing a great job of getting the ball for our offense, and today we played a solid game defensively for 60 minutes. And, well you see what happened."
