Vrabel would "Go back to New England in a heartbeat"
Mike Vrabel says he'd come back to New England in a heart beat, but doesn't feel like they would want him.
I'd sure love to bring him in for another year. He could contribute and help bring along any LB we (hopefully) draft this year. Would be great to see him retire as a Patriot too.

Great find!
Still difficult to see him on another team. It would have been great to have him retire as a Patriot.
Keep the faith!
Retire, sure. Keep? no.
We need to get younger not older. That said, he deserves to retire a patriot.
There'd be room on the roster for Vrabes if he came back.
2007 he was great.
2008 Adalius was out (no bookend pass rusher) and the secondary was so bad, receivers were open all over.
2009 he played for the Chiefs – nuff said – they had issues across the board.
If the deal was $4M / year like he was making (and his production doesn’t justify that) then let KC have him. If it’s more like Banta-Cain money? Why not? Cheap to keep, a leader, and another guy in the rotation that we don’t cringe when we see.

The same writers calling the Pats LBs "old"
were the ones panning them for trading him away. It was time to get younger at that position.
Keep the faith!
What I want to hear from Mike:
“Hey Adalius, race you to the Quarterback!” Then get it done.

Ugh...
Compare “Bill sent me home early for being late, I’m going to sulk and cry to the press” to “Bill sent me to KANSAS CITY without telling me why, but I’d still play for him”… sad face.

that kind of pisses me off
Vrabel was one of the building blocks of the dynasty. He never held out for $ like King Richard or AS. Least the Hoodie could have done was bring him to the office to explain the trade. If he can shed some tears for Tedy
(or as Marima put it,
It was probably condensation..He’s so cold and the lights at the press conference were so hot), he could/should have met with Vrabel.

I wonder if Belichick took it for granted, because he was sending Vrabel to Pioli
sort of a “It doesn’t really count as a trade because we’re sending you to people you already know” deal.

If he already knew he wasn't going to extend Vrabel's contract
sending him to KC was a way to control where he went, as well as being able to avoid spending that $1 million bonus he was due. KC paid it to him instead.
Keep the faith!
Oh, I was only meaning the bit about not telling Vrabel that he was being traded
It might’ve slipped his mind when he was moving Vrabel around the extended Patriot “family”. Especially when he told Seymour that Seymour was being exiled traded to Oakland.

if KC doesn't sign him
the Pats should sign him (if he wants to play another year) as a Junior Seau role model/veteran presence in the locker room.

vrabels had a great career but hes an even better guy
he might be in KC right now but i wont see any hard feelings if he chooses to come back to new england whenever. hes a real great leader and is really helpin out some of our young linebackers
"WIth the 5th pick in the 2010 NFL draft the Kansas City Chiefs select... Eric Berry Safety Tennesee... "
He's a great pick up no matter where. Love Vrabes
