Who's Picking Who: Experts Weigh In On Patriots Picks

This time of the year in the football world is meant for making attempts to figure out who your favorite team is picking in the annual NFL Draft.  This can be found in anyone, from regular Joes to sports writers.  This is where mock drafts come in.  What is even more intriguing is wondering what everyone else has in their mock drafts.  Driven by this kind of curiosity, I made a chart list of the mock picks the Patriots would make according to the experts, in the team's exact draft order. This post covers all of their first and second round picks.  Some make sense, others do not. Regardless, let it all soak in and then share your thoughts. I will also make changes to this list as well since the experts often make their changes on their picks.

Thanks for the compliments. Glad you enjoyed it.

Here’s the thing: can you see the whole chart? I had all four of the team picks on there and for some reason, no matter how wide i make my browser, the most it only shows is four columns. The fifth is blocked by advertising.

So can you see the whole chart?

The 2010 New York Mets: Maybe it's the Phillies' turn to have 95% of its roster on the DL

The 2009 New England Patriots: At least we got our division title back

The 2009-10 New Jersey Devils: Allergic to second periods

I've run into that same problem before. Don't know if there is a fix.

Nice job, and Rec’d.

Thanks.

In that case, when I edit, I’ll do it in list form instead of chart form.

Matt McGuire from Walter Football...

…has my favorite pairing. If we can grab Norwood later, it’s a great pair.

I liked it for the first two picks and Hernandez too.

He lost me with Tebow, though.

Oh, I should also make a note

That as any of these experts make changes in their picks, I will update this chart accordingly.

did paul hacky screw up his picks or something???

taking Brandon Spikes in the 1st, THEN somehow Odrick makes it on our pick, and we pick him as well???

This is great, thanks!

Keep the faith!

Did Paul Hickey screw up his picks or something???

There is no way we pick spikes in the first, and there is no way Odrick goes into the second.

Like I said, some things I just don't understand.

Like Hickey’s picks. And, to an extent, Walter Cherepinsky’s.

This is just me, but I don't see us going offense with our first two picks.

Especially not skill positions

Perhaps if a ridiculous fluke happened and one of those stud OTs or Iupati dropped down, it might happen. But even then, I’d be highly surprised, particularly with HBs or WRs.

The lovely part about the Pats this season

Is that I love all of these options. I’d be happy with any of these pick sets (at least besides all the Tebow).

Idea

I came across Phinsider’s post on Dolphins mock draft, and they have it set up very nicely with a colorful (and smaller) chart and pick trends. I was wondering if that can be possible for this one.

I think you need to have front page access to have tables like that...

…so that’s up to MaPatsFan. Definitely worth shooting him an e-mail, if you’re interested in updating this list on a weekly basis.
