Patriots to Work Out Georgia DT Jeff Owens on Friday
The NationalFootballPost.com is reporting that the Patriots will get a look at this projected 4th round prospect on Friday. He's 6'1, 304 lbs, which makes him a pretty good choice at NT- however, he's a little too short and his 32 3/4 inch arm span means he probably won't be able to make a transition to DE for us. That said, he bench pressed 225 lbs. 44 times, which is one shy of the combine record. He's a large man who is known for his run stuffing and strength.
I don't think we need help at the DT/NT position, so I don't think I'd want us to grab him in the 4th round. While he's intriguing as a large prospect, there are plenty of other needs that we have before we must address the NT position.

Exactly 44 Buffet tables weighing 225lbs apiece, methinks.
Token southern hemisphere guy - 14,688km from Foxboro. That's 9128 miles, for you heathens.
