Patriots resign Tully Banta-Cain to 3 year deal, Peppers is a Bear.
Not exactly what I had in mind to fix our pass rush, but it is a good start...i'm glad we didn't go after Peppers, he is declining year after year and I feel as if he wouldn't have made much of an impact.

I liked when Peppers threw Favre around last year, but that was the first time I saw him show up in a game.

Oh please I bet you guys would be jumping for joy if he was a Pat
2009 NY Phin PhansFantasy League Champion
2009 Best Regular Season Record in NYPPL.
2010 The Jim Mandich NewsFlash Award Winner.
Only if it meant the team wouldn't be bankrupt doing it.
If it meant we could fill the other team needs, Peppers wouldn’t be worth it.
He is shut out of too many games to say he is elite. Jared Allen is loads better, and the Vikes spent a ton for him.

If he was on reasonable pay, I'd be happy to have him...
but at the moment, he’s just a giant cash-cow. The guy has $40M guaranteed money! He hasn’t got any incentive to play hard – he’s over 30, he’s got a multi-year deal that will most likely be his last contract playing professional football, and $40M of it is paid up-front. He could retire tomorrow and be significantly richer. And it’s not like he owes the Bears anything outside of that cash – he hasn’t shed blood, sweat or tears for the Bears (or Pats) franchise like Banta-Cain has for New England. He’s only there to cash his paycheck, and he gets to cash $40M of it without even trying.
I would have liked Peppers on a 2 or 3 year deal for say, $10M. Promise him a Superbowl ring or something, sure. But a $90M+ contract with $40M guaranteed? Haha.
