In my navigating of the R1 options for the Pats I've come to yet another fork in the road.
I look to you fellow Pulpit pundits, to guide my direction as I ponder what it's worth to get this man:
To me, figuring out the right moment to move is the tough part, for the Pats I think it's the 15-17 pick range. According to the trade value chart (posted by SoCalStites on MTD) any of those 3 picks along with that teams 3rd round selection equate rather well to the Pats R1 and 3rd R2 pick:
NE: R1 #22 (710) + R2(3of3) #53 (320) = 1070
NYG: R1 #15 (890) + R3 #76 (205) = 1095
Tenn: R1 #16 (860) + R3 #77(200) = 1060
SF: R1 #17 (810) + R3 #79 (190) = 1000 (here the Pats likely ask for a 6th in '10 or a 4/5th in '11)
To move up higher then 15 I think becomes to costly for a WR , but if he drops to if he's on the board at 13, I think BB and co start making calls to get ahead of Pitts and Cincy and any other team which would consider moving up to get him or another player.
What do you all think? Is this a worthwhile move for the pats? Or is this the wrong direction entirely?
