Tight-End Alge Crumpler spent the off-season getting lean and fit for a new role with the Patriots. Could it be that the Pats are going actually expect their tight-ends to *GASP* catch the ball?

I wouldn't count on it
Final 2010 Stat Line:
Rob Gronkowski: 3 receptions
Aaron Hernandez: 2 receptions
Alge Crumpler: 1 reception
I'd normally think that way as well
, but it sounded like Crumpler was getting in shape for the “role” that he had discussed with Belichick and it wasn’t blocking.
In addition, Hernandez is more of a lead blocker than a line blocker. But even more than that he is a passing threat. It just makes you wonder if they are going to try to find their tight-ends again.

They gave him #82
Maybe he had to slim down to fit into the smaller number?

When Alge was told of his new role with the team:
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait… there are rolls? Are they buttered, or should use my own? Because I have my own butter here with me now.”
