To Rec a response, click the actions tab under the response, and press Rec. 

Rec as many responses as you like.  Note: You can't Rec your own response, the system won't let you. 

NOTE:  Twice now, I've found people that have created other accounts solely for the purpose of Recommending themselves.  That is very poor form - there is a reason that the system won't let you Rec yourself.  I've given out warnings (and deleted the Rec's - yeah, I can do that), but if it continues, I'll start banning the offenders.  C'mon people, this is for FUN.  The competition is for a little rivalry and playful back and forth.  If it gets out of hand, we'll quit having these.  - SMP
