Say good by to Shawn Springs
I think I called this earlier on here, with the drafting of McCourty, and the boys from the two previous years - Springs and his contract were out of luck.
While the veteran presence could have helped, as could the size - he didn't seem to be physically fight to stick on coverage very often last year and with the glut at Safety, no room for him there either.
Sorry Shawn, no springs run by the Lighthouse, this is an ocean, salt water based team.

Schefter Tweeted that he was released.

I didn't think he was long for the team.

Not at $2m a season he wasn't
That’s starter money for a very-useful-backup quality guy. He might come back for more reasonable backup money.
Token southern hemisphere guy - 14,688km from Foxboro. That's 9128 miles, for you heathens.

Does this mean Wheatly still has a chance????
"Red, Blue and White Ignite"
"Orange and Blue, A Gator Too"
Yes,
He’s currently behind
Leigh Bodden
Darius Butler
Devin McCourty
Jonathan Wilhite
and probably Kyle Arrington
If he can dig out of the pile, he’s got a job.

Now's a good time just to say again how much I like Kyle Arrington...
Stud special teamers always go underrated, right up until they win you playoff games.

Rumor has it...
That in addition to AD – Springs and Baker were not “Patriot” guys. This is fallout from the whole lack of leadership in the locker room thing.
Wasn't he spotted laughing after losses in the season?
I think the Patriots want veterans with competitive sparks to go along with their knowledge. I don’t think Springs had that spark.

I believe that is correct.
I also recall him and AT buddying it up about BB’s outlandish act of sending AT home.
The rule on the Pats is simple. Take your punishment and STFU.
If Moss had nothing to say about being sent home, then AT sure as hell shouldn’t.
Funny, there doesn’t seem to be a huge interest in signing AT.
Fire BB.
Yeah...
…I think it’d be awesome if AT remained unsigned.
