Here we go again. If hearing Rex Ryan was not enough, Mark Sánchez follows suit in claiming that the Jets will be back visiting the White House in February. According to the New York Daily News; "I knew we were scoping out this territory and we're coming back in February," Sánchez said Thursday. "That's in the back of your head."Now, Brick and I will know where to go, so we'll just lead guys around and throw in a tour." I know that this may have been harmless bravado, but for a QB who had a season QB rating of 53%, and had his second worst performance of the year once Belichick saw him a second time, there needs to be a filter. The Patriots have thrived in the past with bulletin board material and this is just another log on the fire to those that are counting the Patriots out already. It's May and the Pats are already not going to win the East by many accounts, not make the playoffs according to Peter King, and quickly losing their grip as an élite team. Bill has done a great job of infusing youth into an aging team while bringing in character players to a team that lacked leadership. I like where this team is headed, but if you asked the Jets and Mark Sánchez, it most certainly will not be at the White House in February shaking Barack Obama's hand.
