Around SBN: Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant's Post-Game 5 Outfits

"Even without pads or contact, it didn't take a grizzled NFL scout to notice in the Jets' recent workouts that Tomlinson just doesn't look like the same player who terrified opposing defenses with his slippery moves and sublime hands for nine seasons with the Chargers," the Post reports. "Tomlinson appears bulkier and definitely a step (or three) slower than he did in his prime, which is to be expected from a running back who next week turns 31—increasingly the point of no return in the NFL—with his incredible amount of mileage."

But he scored so many touchdowns last season!!!!!

12!

And we all know that in New York (or at least North Jersey), the only thing that matters is how a team should perform based on individual players’ past performance…..right? There’s no such thing as “decline in talent” or “locker room cancer” or “player that doesn’t really fit the scheme.” Names! Paper! Stats! KFC/TacoBell/Popeye’s! (Something has to fuel Rex’s wildly delusional mind)

the thing about the jets is

in my opinion the jets could be 12-4 or they could be 9-7 8-8. every move they made this off season is boom or bust. thomas jones is better then tomlinson right now any way u slice it. so if shonn greene has a sophmore slump or gets hurt there goes the jets run game that they need so bad to protect sanchez. cromartie well yes he is big he is fast and he can make dazzling plays but he also doesnt tackle jumps routes and gets burned as much as he makes plays and did i mention doesnt tackle. oh and he has like 6 kids by 5 different mothers in like 4 different states he actually had to get a advance on his pay to pay back child support so that says something about his character. now santonio holmes already suspended for 4 games and got kicked off a airplane for not turning off his ipod……. nuff said on that. so like i said they could go 12-4 and they could go 8-8. lets see if last years gift wrapped playoff run goes to there heads my guess is it does. i am definately more worried about the dolphins then the jets.

I won't sleep on the Jets, but I agree their offseason could blow up on them.

There is a lot of potential in that locker room. Potential for a Super Bowl run; potential for a season ending explosion.

It’s really about 50-50 to me. I’ve seen dysfunctional locker rooms come together for a big run, and I’ve seen talented teams pulled apart by internal conflict. As a spectator, it makes for interesting watching either way.

I love Mike Florio's comment
LaDainian Tomlinson is excited about the challenge of proving he’s not too old to succeed.

Yeah, I’m sure he is.

Keep the faith!

NFL rb's have a short time span to succeed b/c of all the punishment they take.

I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Craig Thompson just might end up being a savvy guy if he gets the MWC to 12 teams. The University of Utah starts in the Pac-Ten in 2011. Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean, I mean plumb, mad dog mean. cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live or win. That's just the way it is. "The Outlaw Josey Wales". To protect the sheep you gotta catch the wolf, and it takes a wolf to catch a wolf. "Training Day". Rashad will beat Rua b/c he is a far superior wrestler and a bad matchup for him. 2/1 odds. Josh Koscheck will dethrone Gsp and win the welterweight title. Last man to win a round vs Gsp. 2.9/1 odds on that too. Peace.
