Defining the Dline
So I'm uncomfortable with the D line. I've only been able to watch one game so far this pre season, the Atlanta game that was shown nationally and that left me thinking the Pats were going to need to run a 4-3 to stop running attacks this year.
I'm not so sure that needs to happen, or would happen but what I am sure about is the Dline is making me feel uneasy beyond Vince.
You've got Gerard Warren, Mike Wright and Damione Lewis in the veteran camp, with Lewis seeming the most expendable right now.
You've got Pryor, Brace, Deaderick and Richard as young guys. Pryor seems to be having a steady camp and Brace really seems to be turning it on, which is great to see. I like Deaderick and Richard and both seem to have potential. I haven't seen nearly enough of any of these guys to know if they should be on the 53, PC or UEL.
Is G.Warren, Vince and Mike Wright good enough to start this season?
What about Brace & Pryor, how much can they be depended on?
Is Damione Lewis worth keeping any more so then the young kids?
Has Deaderick or Richard shown enough for anyone to think they should be on the 53?

My idea...
The way things go today, it isn’t as easy to guess run and pass downs (We’ll miss you, Marty-ball).
Vince should stay on the field for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd downs.
So, here goes:
1st down
DE – NT – DE
Gerard Warren – Vince Wilfork – Myron Pryor/Ron Brace (he’s not going to get better without game experience)
2nd down
DE – NT – DE
Gerard Warren – Vince Wilfork – Ron Brace/Myron Pryor
3rd down
DE – NT – DE
Gerard Warren – Vince Wilfork – Mike Wright
For all the crap we give Wil Wheaton, he can still tackle better than Asante Samuel...
The various schools of the Big Ten should let Ohio State and Michigan know in no uncertain terms that dissent will NOT be tolerated.

I'd be tempted to spell Wilfork with Pryor on third down
Wilfork’s not a natural penetrator; Pryor is. But a lot of it is matchup-based – if there’s a Center that Wilfork can pick on in order to shift the pocket around, then by all means keep him out there. If not, then keep the big guy fresh.

So far, Nick Mangold has been able to handle him...
The ‘Phins haven’t found a center capable of stopping him, and the Bills are..the Bills. They’re hoping Eric Wood can hold his own.

Mhmm, it's a week-by-week thing
Thankfully, Hoodie knows all about creating matchup issues, and avoiding the ones that suit the opposition.

I tell you this
Bill wouldn’t have won three Super Bowls if he didn’t know how to create mismatches. After all, who expects to see Troy Brown in the secondary?

Hasn't Vince lined up at End on passing downs in the pre season
I call that an interesting wrinkle….or bulge
Vince, Brace, and Warren.
Just try to run the football up the middle. I dare you.

Yes, he has
I’m not sure how often he’ll do it during the season, if only because they’ll want to limit his snap count to some extent. He’s 350lbs or so; you can’t expect him to be there every snap of every game when he’s just that big.
