I'm new to Pats Pulpit. I am a die-hard Carolina Panther fan and have had an active dislike for the Pats since SB 38. Go figure, right? Haha! I simply didn't like the Pats because they beat my team in a great Super Bowl. However, times have changed.
I grew up in western Nebraska watching Danny Woodhead in North Platte, NE and up in Chadron State College. He was a blast to watch on the field. I was kind of pissed when all the pro scouts said, "he's too small, too little this, too little that to make in the NFL." I was excited to see him at least make it onto the practice squad of the Jets. When he was cut, naturally, I was pissed at the Jets. Then you guys picked him up.
Seeing Woodhead have fun, being utilized, succeeding and being a part of a great team and organization has had a drastic effect on how I view and think of the Patriots. Watching his interactions with Brady, Welker and Co. really has shown me what kind of people make up this Patriots team and organization. (In fact, this same thing got my family back home buying Patriot jerseys and tuning in every Sunday!) I just felt it was time for me to say something.
Although Carolina will always be my No. 1, I can now proudly say I have a classy AFC team to be real fan of. With that said, good luck in the post season guys!!
