Playoffs Jets vs Patriots: Inactive Players
Rap Sheet reports the inactives for today's game:
Here is the complete list from the Patriots: RB Fred Taylor, OL Rich Ohrnberger, OL Mark LeVoir, WR Taylor Price, DL Myron Pryor, RB Thomas Clayton, CB Tony Carter and LB Marques Murrell.
Here is the complete list from the Jets: WR/KR Brad Smith, FB John Conner, DE Vernon Gholston, DT Jarron Gilbert, TE Matt Mulligan, TE Jeff Cumberland, DT Marcus Dixon, and Kellen Clemens (third QB).
There are no real surprises for the Patriots and I don't believe they'll miss any of the players who are inactive. Pryor's been out for a while and Taylor hasn't been asked to run the ball, even when healthy.
The Jets, however, will definitely miss Brad Smith as a kick returner and as the wildcat quarterback. That leaves Antonio "He's an *******" Cromartie as the top possible return man and it eliminates one of their home run threats on offense. The Jets also have decided to go with experience over youth, with Tony Richardson over John Conner at FB, even though Conner's done a pretty good job.
Go Patriots!

It's basically the same line-up they closed the final 8 games with.

Yeah, Pryor played vs. Dolphins… hopefully we win today and he’s fit
5 D-linemen still gives me the scares.

Interesting that they didn't dress Conner *and* Richardson
I’d have thought they’d want the extra horsepower for a power-run game, but they left 2 TEs and a FB on the inactives.
Token southern hemisphere guy - 14,688km from Foxboro. That's 9128 miles, for you heathens.
