Will Ryan Get "Personal" with Pittsburgh?

Rex Ryan has already vanquished two of his personal beefs with Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. But who will be the big bad enemy in Pittsburgh? The Jets had an improbable win in Pittsburgh earlier in the year, so they can't claim some kind of personal jab from that team (maybe, though, the Steelers did not let them win by a large enough margin). So what beef WILL Gang Green dream up? See my thoughts after the jump.

First, there's the fact that many Steelers fans have been hammering the "fat loud guy" routine all year and has earned a solid reputation for harboring some of the most obnoxious blowhards around. Ryan will surely take offense to the notion that he hasn't had a monopoly on that schtick for a good twenty or thirty years.

Second, Pittsburgh has experienced a tremendous economic downturn in recent decades. It's streets are deteriorating, industry is shrinking, and crime is on the rise. But Jets fans and players will surely point to the fact that New Jersey has been the infamous "Armpit of America" for generations. And that's not even taking into account the nearby Staten Island dump.

Third, "Big Ben" Roethlisburger has made headlines by crashing his motorcycle without a helmet and becoming embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal over the offseason. The coaching staff of the Jets will clearly be gunning for the Steelers in this area claiming that no one has done more to embarrass a franchise than they have. After all, they've got sexual harassment complaints, humiliating foot fetish videos, AND dirty sideline antics.

But these are just some of the many sleights that Ryan will pounce on in the coming week. Take the poll below or submit your own in a comment or two.
