I know we've already had a couple of "offseason focus" posts but with the number of draft picks we have can there be too much speculation?

I was watching the Senior Bowl practices and the reviews. Some players stood out to me during practice Monday and Tuesday as players we should waych closely.

Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami (Fla.) - Already a player mentioned as a possibility to the Pats did nothing to hurt his stock. He caught every ball and looked very impressive. He could be a great choice with our 2.28 pick? If he lasts that long that is.

Christian Ballard, DE/DT, Iowa - This is a kid we better watch closely. He displayed great athletic skills and did beat blockers on several occasions. He looked explosive and displayed a very good motor. With that 6´4´´ (and 1/8) and 288 lbs frame he's someone we should look for after the studs at the position are selected (from round 3 and beyond).

Brooks Reed, OLB, Arizona - He sure looks like a great fit at pass-rusher even though he's a little short (6´2´´1/2) by Patriots standards. If we can ignore size demands he could be a steal somewhere from the third and beyond?
