Patriots Bring Back Marques Murrell
The Patriots have made another addition today, bringing back outside linebacker Marques Murrell.
Murrell, 25, was originally signed by the Patriots in March of 2010. After an impressive preseason, Murrell made the team's 53 man roster, recording one special teams tackle in the team's season opening win against the Cincinnati Bengals. Following the win, Murrell was released in a semi-surprising move.
Now, with the Patriots a little thin at outside linebacker with the likes of Eric Moore and Jermaine Cunningham missing practice, the Patriots have opted to bring back Murrell. I'm not sure if he'll last until next week, but for now, he adds some insurance at the position.
The Patriots did not have to make a roster move to make space for Murrell, as the return of linebacker Brandon Spikes from suspension has given the team a one week roster exemption.

Sweet. sweet sweet.
I’ll take 11 players with heart on the field over 11 guys with just talent. Talent is fleeting, it goes away over time. Heart is what drives you to be better. To push yourself beyond what you think your capabilities are. To show us that when you strive, all things are possible.- SMP
