After the Patriots week four victory over the Oakland Raiders, I forgot to hand out a game ball to a Patriots player.  Well, better late than never.

For the second straight week, I'm giving the Samsung Gameball of the Week to Wes Welker.  Although the Raiders knew they would have to key on Welker, they still couldn't stop him.  Welker picked up key first down after key first down and propelled the Patriots offense.  His nine catches were best on the team, by a long shot.  The next closest player in receptions was Chad Ochocinco, who had just two grabs.  Welker also grabbed a key touchdown in the first quarter.

So far on the year, Welker has 40 grabs for 616 yards and 5 touchdowns.  At his current pace, he would shatter the record for both receptions and yards in a season.  Welker will be matched up against Darrelle Revis this week, so tomorrow's game should act as yet another chance for Welker to prove himself.

Week 1 Winner: Tom Brady
Week 2 Winner: Tom Brady
Week 3 Winner: Wes Welker
Week 4 Winner: Wes Welker
