Thursday Injury/Practice Reports: Key Starters Still Out, Welker Back

If it's Thursday...

Star-divide

New England LB Dane Fletcher(thumb) was the only Patriot who missed practice again.  For the Giants, Tackle Stacy Andrews, starting Center David Baas(knee) remains out along with running-back Ahmad Bradshaw(foot) and WR Hakeem Nicks.   WR Mario Manningham(illness) returned to practice in full for the Giants along with LB Michael Boley(knee).  Returning to practice, but limited for the Giants, was DE Osi Umenyiora(shoulder/knee).   For the Pats, Wes Welker(neck) returned to practice but was limited.   Giants DE Justin Tuck(neck/groin) was moved from limited-participation to full-participation.

DE Jason Pierre-Paul(neck) was a new addition for the Giants to the limited-participation list after reportedly suffering a collision during practice.  For the Pats, after finally practicing in full for the first time in who-knows-how-long, Albert Haynesworth was limited again.(back)

With the release of S Ventrone(his millionth release), DT Ron Brace is widely expected to join the roster from the PUP list to provide depth behind a limited Albert Haynesworth and an injured Shaun Ellis.   Both RBs Kevin Faulk(knee) and BenJarvis GreenEllis(toe) were limited again, signaling that Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley may see more snaps.  Aaron Hernandez, Sebasten Vollmer, and Jerod Mayo remain limited in pracice as they are all recovering from injuries.

As for all the guys limited on the G-men.

All are expected to play. Unless Coughlin is being coy or secretive about one of these “injuries,” don’t expect to see any of these guys in street clothes on Sunday.

(Please God let this be the case!)

It'd be surprising if anyone were ruled out this early in the week.

It’s entirely possible that some dinged up guys are just being given a day off or time off to heal up some more.

It is what it is

They're fitting Welker with a bobble-head

so he’ll be ready for Sunday

Keep the faith!

We have a bobble head on our team.

Watch 44 when he runs.

Bradshaw apparently has a broken foot

Either that or a screw came loose or is causing him pain from a previous surgery.

Looks like he still might play

He wants to avoid surgery until the end of the season. Yeesh.
