Patriots vs. Chiefs: McCourty, Chung, Faulk Among Those Inactive
The New England Patriots have announced their inactives for their week eleven match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs:
Ryan Mallett, QB
Kevin Faulk, RB
Dane Fletcher, LB
Brandon Spikes, LB
Jeff Tarpinian, LB
Devin McCourty, CB
Pat Chung, S
My initial thoughts on the list:
- Disappointing to see that Patrick Chung can't play. While Devin McCourty was listed as doubtful and it would have been a real surprise to see him suit up, I really expected Pat Chung to give it a go. Chung has been a game-time decision the past two weeks with a foot injury.
- Kevin Faulk looks like a somewhat healthy inactive for the second time in the past three weeks. The team will run with BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Danny Woodhead, Stevan Ridley, and Shane Vereen at running back. Faulk was listed as questionable with a knee injury.
- Linebacker Jeff Tarpinian, who started last week for the first time, will miss tonight's game due to illness. Gary Guyton will likely take his place at linebacker.
- Shaun Ellis will return from a ribs injury for the first time in two weeks, while rookie Marcus Cannon will make his debut after being activated from the NFI list last week. Receiver Taylor Price, who missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, will also return to action.

Here's hoping Gary Guyton has a great game
to make up for the loss of Tarpinian. Wow, never thought I’d say that.
It matters not how strait the gate, nor charged with punishments the scroll:

Finally Price is playing
Taylor Price will be the starter by the end of the season (Said before Training Camp)
Correction: FInally, Price is on the game day roster.
The rest is TBD, but I hope he plays and does well.

Belichick is looking for a new name for his boat: VI Rings sounds pretty good.

Anyone else thinks they will try numerous trick plays tonight? Just because they are under manned on O?

I think they may just chuck it down the field a few times to Bowe or Baldwin for 70 yarders.
PS~ Hope Wilfork can continue his interception streak against the AFC West QB’s.

I want to see Edelman in the slot at corner
The only way I can forsee a loss is if Kansas City plays like the Browns did last year- huge running back, tough defense, and a lot of trick plays to keep us off balance. That and keeping it close early.

that being said, I don’t think Jackie Battle is talented enough to be an entire offense like Peyton Hillis was last year. He was unstoppable that day.

Browns and Hillis had a heck of game that day
But sloppy plays by Pats, especially Gronk, was a huge factor too
