My Thoughts on the Upcoming Broncos Game
Hey guys, I just wanted to put my thoughts on the upcoming Broncos game out there and see if anyone else feels the same way or see how everyone feels. For the first time ever as a Patriots fan, I want the Patriots to lose this upcoming week. Accumulate great stats but lose the game. Why? Not because I want the Patriots to lose, but because it's inevitable in wanting the Broncos to win, and that's what I want. Tim Tebow incites inspiration. He is a God among men. The things he does on the football field is just statistically improbable. But he gets it done every week. I'm a very religious Christian and I have my thoughts there but I'll reserve them because I don't want to offend anyone. But religion aside, just look at the greatness that is wearing #15 in Denver. You are experiencing the stuff of legend whenever Tim Tebow steps on the field. The kid is special. I want him in the playoffs. I am a believer. I want the non-believers and the physicists who claim that him winning the Super Bowl is impossible to choke on their words. Of course when it matters, my heart will always go to the Patriots first. So if the Patriots have to face the Broncos in the playoffs, there is no doubt that my heart will be for the Patriots to win. But if the Patriots somehow were to lose in the playoffs, and not to the Broncos, I'd be rooting for Tebow to advance and win the Lombardi trophy. If you've managed to get through this entire post, kudos. Yes, I have a man crush on Timothy Tebow. Is it that obvious? But anyway, I feel like I'm the only Patriots fan who in his heart will want the Broncos to win this upcoming week. Am I? Let me hear your thoughts. And whatever the end result next Sunday, let's all hope for an injury-free game!

My Apologies.
I didn’t know you couldn’t separate paragraphs in chat fanshots. But I didn’t want this to be a fanpost because I’m rambling. Please try to bear with me. Thanks.

I'm not going to root for Tebow over the Pats.
I will tell God, “Thy will be done”, and live with the results.
It’s actually amazing how many teams have pulled together after losing to the Pats. There is strength in adversity as well.
The more you know, the more you know that you don't know.
Some people can learn from the mistakes of others, while some people need to pee on the electric fence themselves.
Belichick is looking for a new name for his boat: VI Rings sounds pretty good.

Let's not bring religion into this, and who's a devout follower of what....
I’ve been enjoying watching Tim Tebow defy the experts, and fourth-quarter comebacks are always exciting. I also enjoy rooting for a genuine good guy, which Tebow is. [Josh McDaniels you’ve been vindicated!]
But Tim Tebow can handle losing with dignity, and he can lose while being a devout Christian without doing his religion – or the God he believes in – any harm. In fact, the example of how he deals with the adversity of losing can sometimes be a greater test of character than winning. It’s easy to be a believer when you’re always winning.
I always took exception to how the media handled the Patriots in 2007, and the unfair good vs. evil portrayal of their team. There are enough players on the team whose faith is as important to them as it is to Tim Tebow, but just because they’re not as vocal, why root against them? Is Tim Tebow’s faith so much more important that he deserves a win more than another sincere believer?
Keep the faith!
I agree that Tebow's play is interesting.
I do not, however, think he is a great quarterback. Listen, a lot of things happened yesterday. If MB3 had two brain cells to rub together, and if Matt Prater hadn’t nailed two HUGE kicks, they were done.
I think Tebow is a great guy, and his attitude is refreshing. But I think we have to have some perspective when analyzing his game. He’s about as talented at the quarterback position as Ronnie Brown. He knows it, too.
He's hardly sanctimonious.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard him speak a judgmental word about anyone. I think we are quick to assume it’s all an act and he’s secretly a huge hypocrite (because we’ve seen it go down that way so many times before), but we really have no reason to believe that. He just seems like a really, really nice guy (and amazing teammate) who happens to be religious.
In terms of football, I do think he’s bound to flame out sooner rather than later. Just like the wildcat took the NFL by storm for a season, so too is Tebow. But who knows. If his coaches can keep mixing things up and prevent defenses from exploiting his limitations, he might be able to stay successful for a while.
Whoa, there.
I want the non-believers and the physicists who claim that him winning the Super Bowl is impossible to choke on their words.
Non-believers and physicists? I can’t say I’ve heard any physicists weighing in on Tim Tebow’s Super Bowl prospects, lately. Let’s not pretend Tebow’s success (or failure) has any bearing on any other controversies out there. It’s just football.

Maybe the people who talk about the trajectory of his throwing motion?
Because yeah, they have said his release is too questionable to throw the ball as well as other quarterbacks in the league.

im really tired of hearing about tebow
id say kick his ass but then people will talk about that. Hopefully something else happens in the game to distract people from tebow.
Hideki Matsui: "Kick ass. Pop champagne. And get some ho's."
For a "very religious Christian"
You seem to have forgotten “Thou shalt not worship false idols”(simplified, I admit).
A God amongst men?? Man, you must not have paid attention in church.
When I hear that trumpet sound, I'm gonna rise right outta the ground. Ain't no grave can hold my body down.
For the record
I’m a Patriots fan only but I like Tebow and like to seem him do well. But this FanPost is dumb and will probably turn nasty.

Eh... it doesn't have to
As long as it stays away from religion. That topic – along with politics, evolution and global warming – is meant solely for holiday parties with extended family and neighbors. : /
Keep the faith!
I can't help but laugh at this.
I’ll take 11 players with heart on the field over 11 guys with just talent. Talent is fleeting, it goes away over time. Heart is what drives you to be better. To push yourself beyond what you think your capabilities are. To show us that when you strive, all things are possible.- SMP
These are just my views and it's not a FanPost. It's a FanShot.
I knew it would cause a bit of controversy; that’s why I didn’t want it to make the top, hence fanshot.
Everyone has the right to their own opinion. Maybe I took it a little too far with my “God among men” comment but I do admire him both on and off the field and that’s what I was trying to convey.
As for the physicist comment, ditto on Rich Hill’s input. There are those in science who claim that Tebow will never be successful in the NFL and never get very far in the playoffs because his throwing motion is just not fit for the NFL. To those people, who says there is a standard that you need to follow to be successful in the NFL? If you want it that bad, and you have the passion and the drive, you can go out and get it. And that’s what I feel Tebow’s doing, and you’ve gotta admire him for that.

It's one thing to admire him.
But really, look at it for what it’s worth. Rex Grossman went to the Super Bowl in 2006, his first full season as starter. I don’t think anyone would really argue that Grossman is a good quarterback. It’s just extremely frustrating that people are crediting him with the recent streak of wins, when it’s really been stellar defensive and special teams play combined with middling offensive efforts.
