Patriots Will Have Private Workout with DL Corbin Bryant
According to Kevin Fishbain of ProFootballWeekly, the Patriots will hold a private workout with Northwestern defensive lineman Corbin Bryant. The workout will take place next Tuesday. Bryant is a 6'4", 300 lb defensive tackle who projects to the defensive end spot in the Patriots 3-4 defense. According to the National Football Post, Bryant had an outstanding Pro Day performance:Bryant ran the 40-yard dash in 5.02 seconds, according to an NFC West scout.
The 6-foot-4, 298-pounder bench pressed 225 pounds 31 times as 28 NFL teams attended the workout.
He also turned in a 4.55 short shuttle, a 7.34 three-cone drill, a 27 1/2 inch vertical leap and an 8-6 broad jump.
An AFC East team has scheduled Bryant for a private workout next Tuesday.
I think we can safely assume the AFC East team that scheduled the private workout is the New England Patriots. Bryant was an Honorable Mention All-Big 10 last season, but up to this point, hasn't been on many draft radars. By the look of things, it seems like Bryant's strong performances could be changing that, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a late round selection come April, whether that be for the Patriots or some other team.

one ratings service has him 423rd overall
3rd or 4th round? Honor student…all big ten.
Watching him at Northwestern...
He’s a workout animal. As you can see, an absolute freak. Didn’t play much football before coming on campus and has been a great leader in the community.
However, I’m not sure this is the guy we’re looking for. He does have the physical tools to succeed, but NU’s defensive line (Corbin included) was dismantled last year, especially near the end. Wisconsin had the best line in the country but they annihilated our defensive line, and Mikel Leshoure ran for some record against our defense at Wrigley. He does have potential, but if we going off college production, I’m sure you can find someone better. Smart guy and a beast, but doesn’t always show up.
All the Iowa-Patriot fans just went into apoplexy.

Good to talk to him at least.
From the prior posts above this guy sounds like a project. The best they can do is at least talk to him and find out where his head is at. Bill makes a killing at taking guys like this in the draft. He see things in ways that some guys just don’t see it.
He's perfect practice squad material
He always grabs one of those guys like Darryl Richard or Kade Weston who’s built like a 3-4 DE in the 7th round or whatever. This guy seems like the next project. Deaderick turned out pretty well (when he remembered to show up) so we know it works at least some of the time.
