FINAL

Here are some Patriots fourth quarter notes at Gillette Stadium:

  • The Jaguars opened the fourth quarter, having their drive stalled, and settling for a short field goal to cut the Patriot lead to 33-12.
  • On the Patriots' first drive of the 4th quarter, Ryan Mallett threw the ball on a rope to Taylor Price over the middle.  Mallett then found Price again, but the ball hit Price's hands, popped in the air, and the ball was intercepted.  Fortunately for the Patriots, a personal foul on the Jaguars reversed the turnover.  The drive continued, and Mallett ended up sneaking the ball for a 1st down on a fourth and short.  Mallett continued the drive, finding Taylor Price yet again, before converting another 1st down on a slant to Darnell Jenkins.  Stevan Ridley then took a draw for another big gain down to the three yard line.  The drive was capped off with a Richard Medlin touchdown up the middle (nice block by #75 Mark Wetterer).
  • On the first play of the Jaguar's ensuing drive, receiver turned defensive back Buddy Farnham came up with an interception off a tipped pass (Darius Butler in coverage).
  • Richard Medlin then led the next Patriots' drive, picking up some big yards on back-to-back carries (with Steve Maneri leading the pull on two of them).  Ultimately, Medlin made all six carries on the drive, rushing for 31 yards and punching it in for his second touchdown of the night to give the Patriots a 47-12 lead.
  • After forcing a final three and out of the Jaguars, the Patriots took back over, and ran down the clock thanks to the running of rookie Richard Medline to close out the final score, 47-12.

Personal Opinion

This is a kid-friendly site, and that dude posted pornography. Couldn’t he get in trouble based on that? Like child pornography laws and such? I know we got some lawyers in the bunch, lets make an example out of this douche.

It’s a no-no on here, but some websites encourage that stuff. I write for HeadKickLegend.com, but another SB mma site mmamania.com frequently has friday threads with pornography.

I shouldn’t say encourage. They tolerate it.

Child porn's illegal pretty much anywhere in the developed world

And posting it is a crime, yes.

They'd be able to.

Most of the laws are drafted pretty consistently, and most of them say “possession of child pornography is illegal”. Whether or not they’d actually bother arresting and prosecuting a child, however, is more of a police discretion issue than a legal one – they’d have a legal right to prosecute in the circumstances child porn is being possessed by someone.

Nope.

Thank the sexting laws for that.

Of course, there is discretion.

If I were Belichick...

…I would kindly ask Del Rio if there was any problem with the coach-to-player communication system.:)

From what I can see...

They did a really good job when they took a knee. Seriously. You have to practice that too. Hopefully they’ll have to do it a lot during the regular season.

Mallet is worth at least 3 first round picks. Maybe more. Mallet is a keeper.

yep.

I am very happy with our QBs

Brady, Hoyer, Mallet. Good stuff.

He did look poised... Like he'd been there 100 times.

While he was going against 3 team UDFA’s who don’t know their ass from SHINOLA, he lloked good! Great arm, great anticipation… Can’t believe the guy didn’t go earlier in the draft.. I was one lobbying for Mallet on the Jags site Pre-Draft… But I’m happy with Gabbert also.

Pats have a Great team this year and I think you guys are the team to beat in the AFC..Hands down.. I hope you bust the j-e-t-s SUCK SUCK SUCKs ASS!

mallet looked good but why arent we talking about hoyer ?

i think hoyer could lead this team to the playoffs and is a starting quality qb.

Awesome first preseason game.

Let’s just play these guys for the regular season.. save the starters for the playoffs.

:D

I thought Miami was smart enough to draft Mallet. Their fan base wanted him.
If I was a Miami fan, I’d be sick to my stomach watching Mallet. Miami had 3 shots at Mallet and blew it.

Many teams around league are in dire need of a QB. Watching the glut of QB at New England has to be depressing.

I still can’t believe that Cam Newton was drafted number one and so many others ahead of Mallet.

I hope Vereen plays soon. I sense he will be real good.

The Patriots will play better 10-6 team next week.

That's my boy!

I have been super high on this kid since the moment they drafted him – it’s awesome to see it start to be realized.

OFF topic. Help needed.

Can someone please list the security settings??? I need on my computer to watch the video clips on Patriots Today: http://www.patriots.com/

I click on the video clip, but I only get a large grey box with a blue play arrow, but the video won’t play.

Thanks!
