thoughts on article about brady?

this article written by Jason Schwartz at espn basically says that brady is not beloved as a boston sports icon because "he's changed" since 2001.

i could be reading into this a little more than i should, maybe because i'm a brady homer, but i don't agree with one freaking word that guy has to say.  he considers himself a boston fan?  come on, TB12 is god to us man.  brady has repeatedly shown us that he cares about this fanbase, football, winning, and passion more than anything.  the guy works harder than anyone in the league, and because he has a globally famous wife, family, and life, he's not the symbolic icon that we love? that's pretty much blasphemy to me.  i'd have a beer with brady and freaking day of the week.

the article asks if he would be as beloved if he never won a title?  what kind of question is that?  of course not, love and fame is decided on titles.  the reason he's invincible is because hes taken us to the promised land 3 times, turned around the franchise, and is pretty much competing to finish off his career as the best quarterback of all time.  just a weird article.  thoughts?
