Three random thoughts while being bored
1. Do you think Sexy Rexy's stomach is turning watching 3 of the 4 playoff teams left are is some way associated with him? The Pats are division champs and a team he loathes, the Ravens are his old team and have done fine without him, and the Giants who truely rule NY, not the Jets.
2. Would love to get revenge for the 2007 Super Bowl defeat, but not sure I really want to play them instead of the Niners. Eli scares me, not Alex Smith.
3. Would love to see Ted Johnson as the fourth honarary captain, with him battling concussion symptoms for years now it would be a great gesture of support for all the trouble he is going through.
The views expressed in these FanPosts are not necessarily those of the writers or SBNation.

Rather face the Niners too
But Alex Smith does scare me. He would be the guy that does to us what he did to the Saints and then headlines all over the place would be about the resurrection of his career. Then he goes on to be Joe Montana.
Shawn Johnson... she's a nice lady
With no disrespect to the Ravens, but I almost feel that a Patriots-Giants rematch is inevitable.

Eli does not scare me
He’s playing well, but he’s no Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees. He recorded a 77 QBR when we played him. I think we are a better defense then we were back then

Eli should scare you
Last time I looked both Rodgers and Bree’s will be home watching Eli play. He seems to have that knack to pull out the game when needed, especially in the playoffs.

I don’t see how this team has a better defense than ’07. That seems like crazy to me.
Eli is now grabbed his place among the elite. As of right now, he’s still in 5th or 6th place (behind the top four, and maybe behind Roethlisberger), but if he wins it all this year, he may break the top 4.
But it’s not just Eli, it’s their pass rush too. It’s playing almost as well as ‘07. While SF has almost as good a pass rush and a much better secondary, they don’t have the offense. It’s the combination of a great passing offense throwing on a weak passing defense and a deadly pass rush can reliably hamper the Pats.
So does Brady
but only he plays much better throughout the whole game, and isn’t prone to make a few bad plays during a game.

the giants pass rush is about the same from 2007
but the Patriots O-Line is improved from 2007 with Waters over Hochstein and Vollmer over Kaczur
Tedy Bruschi- "How do we feel about a playoff victory?"
Team- "Aww Yeah!!!"
Vollmer seems injured though.
Light and Mankins have also been injured. Hopefully they’ll hold up against the Ravens. But if not…
But solder is not injured
And hes played quite well. I understand tempering expectations, but dude…
