Manning to the Dolphins?? That would make the AFC East ridiculous.

The Jets are interested in him as well.

I’m pretty sure any team that needs a QB is interested in him.
He’s not going anywhere that he can’t win a SB or be in contention imediately.
That’s why I’d question his loyalty to the Colts, do they really have a team that can compete, or are they in rebuilding for 2-3yrs.
Sure he can win 8-10games a season on his own but without some additional peices in INDY they aren’t a true contender. Gettinng those additional peices will be hard with 28Mil in cap to Peyton, and whatever they sign Luck too.

Can you imagine him on a team with a defense?

and maybe a running back?

The more you know, the more you know that you don't know.
Some people can learn from the mistakes of others, while some people need to pee on the electric fence themselves.
Belichick is looking for a new name for his boat: VI Rings sounds pretty good.

Can't see it happening

But I am feeling sorry for the position Peyton Manning is in – No man’s land. At least when Tom Brady came back from his injury, the team was pretty much just as he left it – coaches, system, etc… and the Patriots traded away the guy that had replaced him.

The Colts are not ‘rebuilding’, they are in the midst of a full-body heave. Peyton isn’t even sure of his status on the team – whether he’ll be playing at all, playing in Indy, or if he’ll be playing in Indy with the pressure of having a first-round draft pick breathing down his surgically-repaired neck. That’s enough uncertainty without adding the complete GM and coaching purge on top of it.

You have to take from that comment

“One thing he (Grigson) kind-of, sort-of told me, without really wanting to tell me, was that Irsay will be the guy I’m going to sit down and talk with,” Manning said. “That’s going to happen at some point, but we haven’t had that conversation yet because we really don’t need to have that conversation yet.”
The witing is on the wall.
Grigson has probably already told Irsay its foolish to pay him 28mil. Add in any coach coming into the situation is a shitbag, when Manning does near his end, or starts underperforming. Having Luck on come off the bench and push Peyton into obscurity.
“I’m not in a very good place for healing, let’s say that,” he said, referring to the practice facility. “It’s not a real good environment down there right now, to say the least. Everybody’s walking around on eggshells. I don’t recognize our building right now. There’s such complete and total change.”
It’s over the only hand he has is to retire. I doubt they’d be able to trade him unless he reworks his contract he’s done playing in INDY.

It's tough enough working at an ordinary job

where there have been major layoffs and management turnover. Really sours up the environment for those who are left. I can’t imagine what it’s like in his shoes.

Not only that

but can you imagine someone else coming in and trying to install a new offense for him now. I mean the man has basically mastered the one he has been using for the last 12 years. I can only imagine how uncomfortable he is.

yeah, but that's where the 'coaching' part comes in, and a little pride-swallowing

if he’s any good, he’ll get Peyton on his side and they’ll find a way to work together on the install. If he can get Peyton to buy in, then Peyton can sell it to the rest of the team along with him. It’s a zillion times better than any alternative.

Keep the faith!
