Perspective following the last Giants game

I am not trying to toot my own horn (maybe a little). But read this article Relax? yup that I wrote following the last Giants game. I think its something to ponder whenever things look to good or to bad with this team.

Going into this game I think the fact that we did not play great during the Ravens game is a good thing, give me a second to explain. Lets say we blew out the Ravens. Then all the fans would be talking about how the Giants would be getting squashed (especially following the Broncos game). Instead people are giving it a more levelheaded take.

Look, we're in the Superbowl again. It is an amazing accomplishment and an even more amazing opportunity. Both teams realize this. Both teams understand that their legacies can be built upon exponentially with a win.

Lets just hope that the Patriot's players all do their job because if they do, odds are we will win. That is all we can hope for.

Thanks!

I feel very much the same way

It’s a great thing to be able to compete for another ring.

Will I be disappointed if we lose? Unquestionably so, words cannot express how sick I would feel.

I’m worried that the reports out of some New York (yes indeed) radio station you’ve never heard of on Gronk havng a high ankle sprain do turn out to be false.

If not, what about the possiblity of Gronk being alright for the SB?

Haha

I think it would be incredible if he did not play. He is going to play. Now the question to me is, will he be as good of a receiving threat. Hopefully so.

Speaking of legacies...

Both coach QB combos in this game have an awful lot riding on the legacy thing.

Brady and Belichick can raise themselves with the likes of Noll and Bradshaw. Not to mention Brady/Montana. Right now, IMO, the Pats under these two are just a hair under the all-time great teams like those Steelers and Niners in terms of historical greatness. If they had won SB 42, they would be considered the best team ever, and the best coach/QB combo ever. The Giants took that away. They can kinda get it back with a win.

Coughlin and Eli would seperate themselves from the multitude of teams, coaches, QB’s who have won only one SB. And each would build on a resume that is headed toward HOF worthy.

Besides the obvious, high stakes indeed….

The truth. The REAL voice of reason
