Patriots Playoff Scenarios: New England to Play Winner of AFC Wildcard Game Tomorrow

Heading into this evening's playoff match-up between the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans, we knew that the Patriots would play the Bengals in the Divisional Playoffs if they were to win.

However, after a blowout loss to the Texans, that is no longer a possibility. Instead, the Patriots will now play the winner of the Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos game tomorrow. The game will be broadcast at 4:30 PM ET on CBS.

I, for one, am a bit disappointed at the result. No Patriots player or employee would ever admit it, but the Bengals beating the Texans would have represented the easiest path to the Conference Championship for New England assuming Pittsburgh holds off Denver tomorrow.

Of course, there's a reason they play these games. And the Patriots could play the 8-8 Denver Broncos if they were to beat the Steelers tomorrow. But for now, based on what we've seen this season, that looks rather unlikely. Although Pittsburgh is banged up, I think that they still outmatch Denver, and I think they should win rather easily.

So, to recap: The Patriots will play the winner of the Denver Broncos vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game tomorrow. The Patriots' game will be Saturday, January 14th at 8:00 PM ET.

With the early slow starts, we cannot play Pitt

And expect to win assuming they win, but It is Tim Tebow

Eh

We’ll just have to see what happens. We were rooting for Cincy, but they looked awful. Tomorrow’s games should be interesting.

Keep the faith!

Pittsburgh or Denver

Pittsburgh is banged up…and maybe revenge should be sweet.

Denver…well, Pats dismantled them in the altitude. Tebow magic will fail in Foxboro.

I guess either one is fine for me.

Oh and

Have I also mention that the Pats made the Tebow magic disappeared after they lost to them a few weeks ago? Heh.

And on top of that

We faced the Steelers in their house. This time, it’d be in ours.

I learned how to make a sig just so it can say "DFA Darnell MacDonald". That means it must happen.

Houston looked strong

They may be a tough match up for Balt or us. Pitt on a short week with 2 travel days may be a easier match after all.

it was always Pitt

…And I think we all knew it.

Bro

The freaking NFC game hasn’t even been played yet, today. At least wait till tonight before we proclaim what we all knew, will ya?
