This is the game that the Patriots have been waiting for since the Bengals fell to the Texans yesterday. The winner of today's Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos game will directly impact the Patriots, because as the #1 seed in the AFC playoffs, the Patriots will play the winner in next week's Divisional Playoffs (lowest remaining seed).
Although the Steelers are on the road, they are heavily favored to win this game. The Steelers are banged up - Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is banged up with an ankle injury, center Maurkice Pouncey is out, and running back Rashard Mendenhall is out for the year with a torn ACL. While the injuries are mounting, and Denver does have a strong defense, I think the Steelers will still be able to do enough to overcome the low scoring Denver offense led by Tim Tebow. I think that the Broncos would represent an easier path for the Patriots to the AFC Championship, but I think Pittsburgh will hold on for the win here. Greg's Prediction: Steelers 20 Broncos 10

I'd prefer to play the Broncos
but I also would think the Media wouldn’t give the Broncos a chance against the Pats and I always feel like under dogs like that tend to out perform the favorite.

I think we are a different team
than in October. Our offense was Welker centered with a touch of Gronk, and our D really blew. Now our Offense can run, spread it out to Branch, Welker, Gronk, Hernandez and our Defense is coming along

Neither are playmakers. respectable but not great. Patrick Willis is a playmaker at
Mayo’s position. Polamalu is a play maker at Chungs position. I need more than just a tackler.

But I don’t understand why anyone is super confident about playing the Steelers next week. They’re a team designed for the playoffs.. I don’t care how banged up Ben is as long as he’s playing. Unless the Steelers some more players to injury this game, it’s the worst possible AFC opening matchup I could envision.

I’m confident about any opponent we play because every team in the NFL has a shot on any given Sunday. I know that if we play the Steelers it will be a tough game.
