The New England Patriots are moving the ball at will against the Rams, and have a 14-7 lead early in the second quarter as a result. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady led two long touchdown drives on the team's opening two possessions, playing perfect football in the first quarter, going 8/8 for 119 yards and a touchdown.

The touchdown, on the opening drive, was a 19 yard Brady to Brandon Lloyd throw to the corner of the end zone. After moving the ball straight down the field on their second drive, they had things stall facing a fourth and goal from the one. Fortunately, a Shane Vereen one yard touchdown on fourth and goal gave the Patriots the 14-7 lead.

On defense, things have been shaky yet again for the Patriots. Safety Tavon Wilson was burned for a touchdown on the Rams' opening drive, getting beat on the 50 yard play on a double move by Chris Givens. The unit produced a stop on their second series, but still allowed the Rams to gain nearly 40 yards on the drive.
