Are the New England Patriots a Dangerous Football Team?

Scott Heavey

Vince Wilfork feels that the New England Patriots are a dangerous football team. What do you think?

Following the New England Patriots 45-7 victory in London over the St. Louis Rams, the team is now 5-3 entering their bye week.

2012 has been somewhat of a roller-coaster ride for the Patriots, with last minute losses against the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks, as well as impressive victories over the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos, and of course this week's past victory, an absolutely demolishing win over the St. Louis Rams.

But are the Patriots the real deal? Is this team for real? Or should I say, are the Patriots a dangerous football team?

For what it's worth, Vince Wilfork feels that they are, as he spoke to the media following Sunday's Week 8 victory in London:

It feels good, finally, to put one game together as a team, doing a lot of things correct, just playing good football all the way around. It’s just a stepping stone. Guys can see that, when we play together, don’t hurt ourselves, we can be a dangerous football team.

All I have to say is that the Patriots are a middle of the road team right now that has shown signs of being great and have also shown signs of being just another mediocre team that will be one-and-done in the playoffs.

We'll just have to wait and see, as New England's schedule isn't all that tough from here on out, with their next true test comeing at Week 14 against the Houston Texans.

What do you think? Are the Patriots a "dangerous" football team?
