So with the influx of great wide receivers in the coming free agency, shouldn't the Pats focus on drafting a safety instead of a wide receiver in the early rounds?
I don't know much about the prospects this year- in any year actually- nor have i've seen ANY of them play. So i don't know if any of them is worth it. With that said. I don't know if any in free agent safety that is worth the money to sign for the Pats this year. It's safer to get a wide receiver this year through free agency than the draft because we really don't have an immediate need for a WR that gambling on it in FA isn't a huge risk. Plus the Pats do have a bad History on developing/ drafting WR.
Safety on the other hand can't be ignored. after Chung i have no faith in any of our safeties.
So shouldn't we focus on safety first rather than draft a WR? Is that Mark guy from alabama worth it? Worth to trade up for this year?
What are your thoughts guys.Enlighten me haha.
But in my opinion, Safety > WR. We have a good enough receiving core this year and for the years to come. We could have won if GRONK was a 100% and we had better protection. But i wouldn't know I couldn't watch the game :( Still don't plan on watching it. It will bring back bad memories.
BTW this is my first post. I've been stalking since 2007. The year I really got into sports. So don't judge me haha. still learning the game and stuff.
I know that people might want to draft say a DL or OL before anything but just focus on safety and WR. the DL and OL argument is for another time haha.
