The true highlight during the second round in 2012 NFL draft will be when Troy Brown steps to the podium to announce the Patriots selections. Troy Brown was nothing but a class act and a true Patriot during his years in New England. From his humble beginings as an 8th round draft pick out of Marshall, to being part of three Superbowl winning teams, and playing every position asked of him. Troy Brown is everything a Patriots player should be, and epitomizes the concept of "team first".
My favorite TB memory was when he saved the AFC Divisional game against the Chargers with one of the smartest strips ever seen. Tom Brady threw his third interception of the game to Marlon McCree, and out of no where Troy Brown causes a fumble that was recovered by the Patriots. If not for his instinctive play the Patriots would have went on to lose, and who knows what would come from that fallout.
It with pride today that the number 80 jersey is placed on over the lucky Pats shirt. If you do not have a jersey you can show your appreciation by going to vote for Troy to be inducted in the Patriots Hall of Fame.
Lastly, we can all agree and the hope that Chris Berman will yell, "Troy Brown and his band of reknown". Take a moment to acknowledge one of the greatest Patriots ever, Troy Brown, with your favorite memories of number 80 in the comments section.
