This post will be short.

We all know that we can virtually switch in between 3-4 and 4-3 with ease now. Our players are just greatly versatile now that we grabbed Jones and Hightower. Our front seven has awesome depth, and due to our versatility we really don't know how our base defense will be.

We all know we ran sub packages for most of the time last year too. 65% if I'm not mistaken.

In my humble opinion, our defense will go in between. Let me explain

Our front seven will be:


DL: Wilfork-Love-Fanene

LB: Jones-Mayo-Spikes-Hightower

That may look like a 3-4, however, BB can have Jones put his hand down and turn it into a 4 DL alignment. Jones can line up however he feels more comfortable. He can stand up, or put his hand down.


imo that seems to work out more for me. However, if BB think Jones may not be ready, we will be running the 3-4. It can either be:


Hightower-Mayo-Spikes-Nink

or

Cunningham-Mayo-Hightower-Nink


Jones can be in on pass rushing sub packages.
