It came, it went, and now it goes quiet for over a month until training camp begins. So from what little we could gather from media reports, who or what stood out the most to you?
Justin Francis, DE/OLB, Rutgers. Undrafted rookie free agent.
More than anyone else, Justin Francis appears to have put himself in the running to be either a lock or in the mix for a spot on the 53-man roster. He consistently draws good reviews and gets noticed. He now appears to be the leading contender to be the yearly UDFA to make the team despite the additions of rookies Chandler Jones, Dont'a Hightower, Jake Bequette, and free-agent signee Trevor Scott on a team that already included Rob Ninkovich and Jermaine Cunningham(byebye). Is this a sign that BB is adopting some of those 4-DE fronts we got to know so well in SB46? Francis will be one to watch when training camp rolls around along with the all-important(to me) 1 on 1's between OLinemen and DLinemen.

Mixed feelings from:
Baaaad feelings from:
Julian Edelman. They take him off D and try everyone plus Chung out at return-duty. This can't be good for him, even if the 3rd string QB likes throwing to him.
Sebastian Vollmer. I don't remember him playing well at all last year, which was rare due to all the injuries. Thus far he's picking things up where he left off last year. Candidate for PUP/IR.
Jermaine Cunningham. Last year at around this time he disappointed in camp by displaying a lack of development in technique. He's missed some time with what appears to be an injury that may or may not be related to damage from the past season and who apparently hasn't made any plays. The Pats brought in a lot of competition at his position and with Andre Carter appearing set to return the former 2nd-rounder is now dangerously in the bubble.
