The Patriots third preseason game is here, and it looks like tonight's game will be the team's unofficial "dress rehearsal" for the 2012 regular season. Many of the Patriots top players, such as Tom Brady, Brandon Lloyd, and Vince Wilfork are expected to play, and will likely do so into the third quarter.

Of course, tonight's game is also a final chance for many fringe roster players to make their final impression on the coaching staff. On Monday the 27th, teams will have to cut rosters from 90 to 75 players. So in many respects, tonight's game is equally important for the top and the bottom of the roster.

Since I always predict game scores, I guess I'll do so yet again. If the Patriots and Buccaneers are indeed playing their starters into the second half, I'll give the edge to the Patriots. Tom Brady is going to want to get into a rhythm with his receivers before the regular season begins, so hopefully the Patriots can put up some points early.
