Week 1 Sunday Night Football Game Thread

Pittsburgh Steelers (0-0) vs. Denver Broncos (0-0)

Sunday, September 9th 2012 | 8:20 PM ET | TV: NBC

Steelers' Coverage: Behind the Steel Curtain

Broncos Coverage: Mile High Report

It's always nice to watch some Sunday night football when your favorite team is coming off a win. That's how it will be for Patriots fans tonight, as the Steelers head to Denver to take on the Broncos on NBC. The big storyline of this game couldn't be more obvious: the game marks the long-anticipated return of Peyton Manning to NFL football. Of course, he'll be doing so for a new team - the Denver Broncos.

The Patriots also play the Broncos in week five, at home. This game should provide fans some advance scouting. And while the Patriots don't play the Steelers in this regular season, you can never rule out a New England - Pittsburgh playoff match-up.

As for the game itself, I'll take the Steelers, who I think have been overlooked this year, in a close one. I predicted the Steelers to win 24-23 yesterday, so I guess I'll stick to that. Greg's Prediction: Steelers 24 Broncos 23
