Finally, a little bit of good news on the Patriots injury front.
In the wake of all of the Vince Wilfork news, it's easy to forget that the Pats lost another contributor last week in rookie Aaron Dobson. Anyone who watched Sunday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons remembers Dobson taking a pretty nasty looking hit in the end zone, one that saw his neck snap back awkwardly and sent him to the sidelines for the remainder of the game. Luckily, and despite how bad the hit looked, it would appear that the injury he sustained Sunday isn't too serious. According to NBC sports, Dobson is relatively OK and as there is "no major damage" to his neck and back.
Dobson is still dealing with some soreness and discomfort, and his status for this week's game against the Bengals is up in the air (we'll know absolutely nothing more about the situation when the Patriots release their first Injury Report tomorrow), but we can all breathe a little easier knowing that the end zone hit isn't likely to sideline him for an extended period of time.
