According to subscribers.footballguys.com, "New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (forearm) underwent surgery last week for an infection in the same forearm he broke in the playoffs. The infection was caught early enough that he likely will not miss extended time. Gronkowski is expected to be ready for training camp."
Patriot fans started out the earlier part of this week panicking about free agency and then there was news of Tom Brady's insanely generous contract signing that could likely knock out the most of our offseason woes. But then again... with our free agents likely to hit the FA market soon, there is always something for us to worry about..I'm not even talking about Wes Welkah.
In 2012, Gronk's broken forearm was an absolute nightmare and it may carry over into next season. Let's hope that yet another surgery will put an end to Gronk's injury run so the Pats can get back to what they do best....take a shot at yet another Superbowl run.
