I'm not going to hide it. I'm angry. Angry and pissed off that the Pats let Welker go because of a difference of ONE million per year. Brady restructured his contract so we can sig our guys. Well? BB just said "screw it" and let him go. I can't blame Brady for being pissed off. I feel like I want to strangle BB.

But.... I need to look at what's head, and what the plan is for this Pats team.

We have 25 million to spend, now is the time to spend on defense. There are still a good amount of players available in free agency that we should spend on. Lets say 5 million goes to rookies, and that 6 million goes to Welker. That leaves roughly 14 million to spend.

Now, we could have managed this, but we would only be able to sign 2-3 people. WHich means maybe Vollmer and Talib. But that's it probably. May not be able to sign anyone else. Maybe a scrub CB.

So this leads me to believe that we will go heavy on defense this free agency. This is good news if this is the case.

Hopefully we use this money to sign Reed, Talib, and one more CB as well as signing Vollmer. And then we can sign a WR with our first pick.

Choices at WR are Patton, Hopkins, and Austin. I think the Pats will go after a slot WR in free agency as well, so I think maybe Hopkins or Patton are the likely candidates.

If this is the direction I am completely fine with it. I will be pissed probably until we sign some guys. Hopefully it will all turn out, and Brady will be happy.
